The First Baptist Church family is committed to loving and serving. Although we have never been a “large” congregation, over the years, we have continued to find ways to leave an impact. Some of our endeavors have been widely known by the community. Others have been quiet commitments to those in need. Nevertheless, the goal is still the same: to not only have Church, but to be the Church.
From our Clothes Closet which supplied free clothes to those in need for over 20 years; to our Missionaries supporting fellow service organizations with much need supplies; to providing Thanksgiving food and supplies to those who may not have the means to purchase their own, the spirit of love flows through our ministries.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our ministries increased their commitment to service. At any given time throughout the year, our Library Ministry may be providing books, supplies, gifts, and basic needs to unhoused families; our Hospitality Ministry may be quietly collecting and delivering goods to families that are in need; or our Ushers, Publicity, and Missionaries may be providing goods and clothing to women’s shelters and veteran’s assistance. We understand that if we all give a little, many more people can have.
